These haunting images were taken in 2004 and reflect all that remains of the once powerful Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. German immigrants to Milwaukee established a strong brewing industry in Milwaukee. The brewing industry was a sense of pride (and good jobs) for the Milwaukee community. Vacant and undeveloped for many years, these images are but one reminder of what happens to a society when the desire for shareholder profit overcomes the sense and desire of community.
